The liquid formulas are also much easier to apply and have gotten so close to carnauba’s shine that all but the most skilled eyes will have trouble telling them apart. Most sealants last 4-6 months with some offering protection for up to a year - compare that to the 6-8 week lifespan of natural wax. ![]() While those still have their place, many detailers have discovered the benefits of synthetic paint sealant for cars. For decades, carnauba waxes were the go-to for car paint protection. The BF coating did cure a little slower than Cquartz UK.Want your vehicle to look great AND have those looks last? You might consider applying a paint sealant. I hope my truck looks as good as your vette does!Ĭongratulations on getting your truck done! If you like the melted glass look you will love the way your truck looks. Krwtek1 - Looks great! My truck is currently quarantined for the 24 hour curing time that BF Crystal Coat requires. Ty :xyxthumbs: - I agree nothing looks better than blk paint when its done right. RottenII - Gotta love perfect black paint. I was happy to see the applicator hard as nails afterwards and the melted glass look. Lol - I am also addicted to ordering stuff from autogeek. HateSwirls - I ordered more today from AG. The BF did not feel slick during the leveling of high spots but after curing it was smooth as glass. Ty - I think Opti gloss-coat feels the slickest when leveling high spots. Always nice to meet other detailers in the forums and in my area. Finally figured out how to re size pics for posting on here i think. The pics are one before the coating and one after the coating. This corvette is another car i am proud to have driving around with my business name on it advertising for me. I am a big fan of coatings and the melted glass look with 2 years of protection. The 4oz bottle should do 3 or 4 cars with no problem. Its as easy as apply the coating and level high spots with a mf towel. It doesn't completely flash away like opti gloss-coat and its not as thick as Cquartz UK. The coating comes out of the bottle fast and a little goes a long way. Just like the coating it was easy to do and did a good job. The Blackfire crystal coat paint prep was used before applying the coating. High spots were easy to level with a mf towel. The black corvette ended up with the melted glass look. Thats proof to me something special is protecting the paint and BF did it. The soft suede mf applicator turns hard as nails afterwards. Blackfire crystal coat did not let me down and this is another great coating to chose from. After using Opti gloss-coat and Cquartz UK with great results, i was anxious to try another coating. I went to Autogeeks Detailfest and Nick set me up with the new BF coating. I did a ton of paint correction on this car about 3 months ago and the lsp was Wolfgang deep gloss sealant topped with Wolfgang Fuzion. The car is a black 2008 Corvette with over 90k miles.
